[MWC 2017] Sony Xperia XZ Premium with Snapdragon 835 and Xperia XZs announced
Sony has announced two really great smartphones at the MWC 2017. The newly launched Sony Xperia XZ Premium and the Xperia XZ are both really good looking and powerful smartphones. The Xperia XZ Premium is announced with Snapdragon 835 which is surprising as most of us thought Samsung’s Galaxy S8 was going to be the first smartphone with the chip.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium, as mentioned above, comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. The Snapdragon 835 is coupled with 4GB RAM and you get 64GB internal storage which you can expand up to 256GB using a microSD card. In the imaging department, you have a 19MP primary camera and a 13MP front-facing camera. The best part about the phone is the 5.5-inch 4K display which is really sharp and looks amazing. The phone has all the other necessary features like NFC which can be used for Android Pay, USB Type-C which is based on USB 3.1 for faster speeds and the phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. There’s no clarity on the price but the phone will be made available in Spring of 2017 which is close.
The Sony Xperia XZs on the other hand, has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 which is coupled with 4GB RAM. It also has a smaller screen size and resolution as compared to the XZ Premium. This phone has a 1080p triluminous 5.2-inch display. You can choose from storage options of 32/64 GB and it is possible to easily expand the storage via microSD up to 256 GB. The phone has the same camera setup as that of the XZ Premium and everything else is similar too. The Sony Xperia XZs will be available starting April 5 this year, and will be priced starting at $699.99.
