[MWC 2017] Gionee announces A1 and A1 Plus capable of better selfies and battery life

Just a few days back we reported that Gionee has plans to announce new smartphones at MWC 2017 and today they have announced the A1 and A1 Plus smartphones which Gionee claims will provide better battery life and selfies to the users.

The Gionee A1 and A1 Plus both have full HD displays. The Gionee A1 has a 5.5-inch display and the phone is powered by a Helio P10 octa-core processor from MediaTek along with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. You have support for microSD card as well.

Gionee A1 A1 Plus

The Gionee A1 Plus has a 6-inch display and is powered by an Helio P25 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz and Mali T880 MP4 GPU. The A1 Plus also has 4GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. Both of these phones run on Android 7.0 Nougat with Gionee’s very own Amigo 4.0 UI on top.

The main focus of both of these phones is on the selfie camera and the battery life. The Gionee A1 has a 13MP rear camera and a selfie camera of 16MP while the Gionee A1 Plus has a dual camera setup on the back and on the front, you have a 20MP camera! Both of these phones have flash for the selfie camera which is a good feature.

The Gionee A1 has a 4010mAh battery while the A1 Plus has a 4550 mAh battery which makes the devices quite thick. The Gionee A1 will be sold at EUR 349 while the A1 Plus will be sold at EUR 499.
