Lenovo has announced two new affordable Vibe series handsets, The Vibe K5 and Vibe K5 Plus, at MWC 2016. Though the K series moniker was used only in Note series so far, these two are more of international variants of Lemon 3 that was earlier introduced in China.
The biggest highlight of these mid-rangers is the presence of dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos audio on the rear side. Once again, as you would expect, the Vibe K5 Plus isn’t a scaled up variant of the Vibe K5, but the one with more pixels on the same size display and a more powerful processor to drive them.
The Vibe K5 Plus has a 5 Inch Full HD display and is powered by 1.5GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 CPU, while the K5 has a 5 Inch display with 1.4 Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 humming inside. Besides resolution and processor used, both Vibe K5 and K5 Plus are same in every other aspect, including dimensions, weight and battery capacity.
Both handsets use include a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, capable of recoding 1080p full HD videos, paired with 5MP front facing snapper and are running Android 5.1 Lollipop based ROM out of the box.
Other features include 2GB RAM, 16GB expandable internal storage, 32GB MicroSD card support, Dual micro SIM card slots, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1 and 2750 mAh battery.
Lenovo Vibe K5 and Vibe K5 Plus will be available in Platinum Silver, Champagne Gold and Graphite Gray colors for $129 (Rs. 8,860 approx.) and $149 (Rs. 10,240 approx.) respectively.
