Days after Global launch Motorola has finally launched new Moto E in India for 6,999 INR. Motorola has only released 3G variant in India for now, but the company has assured that 64 bit 4G LTE variant will also come to India later.
The second generation Moto E model adds several features which users have been demanding and carries the same price tag as the launch price of original Moto E. The display size is now 4.5 Inches and it carries 960 x 540 pixel qHD resolution. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is also present for extra protection.
The chipset used is 1.2 GHz Cortex A7 based Quad Core Snapdragon 200 processor with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. Storage can further be expanded by 32 GB using microSD card slot. Unlike last year’s Moto E, this year Motorola has provided with an Auto Focus 5 MP rear camera, but LED flash is still missing. A VGA front camera is also present for video calling and selfies.
Battery capacity is 2390 mAh which is again very decent in this price range. Unlike battery, the side edges are removable and user replaceable. These side bands and grip shells will also be available on flipkart starting tomorrow.
Software is Android 5.0 Lollipop with some additional features like Moto Migrate and Moto Display which allows notifications and updates on lock-screen. Other features include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
