Motorola has launched its latest and much awaited smartphone Moto E (2nd Gen) in international market. A promotional video from company revealed that 3G variant of Moto E (2nd Gen) will be available on Flipkart for Rs. 6999 very soon. Meanwhile, the price of first generation Moto E has also been slashed and is now available for 5,999 INR.
The Company has announced that it will come in both 3G and 4G LTE variants priced at $119 and $149. Both smartphones support dual SIM functionality. On the software front, both variants of Moto E 2015 run on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
Moto E 2nd Gen boasts a 4.5 inch qHD (960×540 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer on top. It is powered by 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor equipped with 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 8 GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded by up to another 32 GB.
The 4G LTE variant uses Snapdragon 410 64 bit quad core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, similar to what we have seen in phones like Lenovo A6000. Motorola hasn’t specified the India price and availability details for this variant yet.
Moto E 2nd Gen sports a 5 MP auto focus primary camera with wide f2.2 aperture on its rear side and also a VGA camera on the front side (something dearly missed by fans on original Moto E). It also packs a 2390 mAh battery inside. Connectivity options include 3G/ 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Micro USB port, 3.5mm audio jack and dual SIM functionality.
