Honor 6X, a mid-range dual camera phone which was first unveiled in China, was today presented globally by Huawei. It will be available in gold, silver and grey color variants and its price starts at USD 249.99.
In Europe, the Honor 6X will be released in two storage variants. The one with 3GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt memory is priced at USD 249.99 and the other one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM will cost USD 299.99. First 300 buyers of Honor 6X will get this handset for USD 199.99 and Huawei will also bundle a few free accessories (case, earphone and a selfie stick).
Honor 6X is fitted with a 5.5 inch full HD 2.5D curved glass IPS display and employs an Octa Core Kirin 655 processor where 4 cores clocked at 2.1 GHz and other 4 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz.
On the rear, there is a 12MP rear shooter with LED flash, 6P lens, PDAF and a 2MP secondary camera for depth sensing. It must be noted that the camera implementation is different from Honor 8 and Huawei P9, where feed from Monochrome and Color sensor is combined. A customary 8MP front camera sensor is also present for selfies.
The handset is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and can accept two SIM cards. Other features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and a 3340mAh battery.
The Honor 6X will also launch in India very soon and we expect the base variant to be priced under 15,000 INR.
