Microsoft has recently launched its latest budget smartphone Lumia 532 in India for Rs. 6,499. Android One phones are also available in the market in the price range and people are really liking these devices. Here we are comparing Android One phones with Lumia 532 to see which one will be a better option.
Lumia 532 features a 4 inch capacitive touch screen with WVGA resolution of 480×800 pixels which amounts to 233 ppi. While Android One phones feature a larger 4.5 inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) IPS LCD display which amounts to 218 ppi.
Processor and RAM
Lumia 532 is powered by 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8212 CPU with Adreno 302 GPU, backed by 1 GB of RAM. Android One Phones, on the other hand, use a quad core MediaTek MT6582 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz with Mali 400MP2 GPU, assisted by 1 GB of RAM. Both chipsets are powerful enough to smoothly run Windows and Android OS respectively.
Lumia 532 has 8 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded by up to 128 GB via Micro SD card. On the other hand, Android One phone lags behind with 4 GB of internal memory and an expansion slot for Micro SD card support (up to 32 GB).
Lumia 532 is running latest windows 8.1 OS with Lumia Denim update whereas android One phones run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system which is upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop OS later on. Which OS you are more comfortable with will be the major deciding factor between the two.
Lumia 532 sports a 5 MP camera with LED flash on its back surface and a VGA camera at front. Lumia 532 will be available in four vibrant color options include bright green, bright orange, white and black starting from this month for Rs. 6,499. On the other side, most of the android One phones are available in the market in black and white color options in the range of 4,500 INR to 6,000 INR.

Both Lumia 532 and Android One devices are pretty decent low cost representatives of their respective ecosystem. While Android ecosystem offers more Apps and freedom, Windows OS is highly optimized for great performance and offers stability.
