Microsoft launches Office 365 Personal in India

Microsoft’s greatest product in the history of Office sales is the Office 365. It is a suite of world-leading productivity products from Microsoft, offered as a cloud service. The fastest growing product has become >2 billion dollar business within a short span of time. Microsoft also showcased some numbers which has helped to grow this business up to this level, one of which was the 25 million new Indian customers.

Microsoft also announced the Office 365 Personal for individual users, further enriching its services to Indian customers. Microsoft prior to this, used to provide Office Home which includes services for 5 members while the Office 365 now gets to individuals for those who don’t need 5 licenses. Microsoft have been working to make the experience more personal and customized with bring the cloud first platform to the users.

In addition to the Office 365 launch Microsoft had also made three more announcements. They announced a new feature which they bring to Bing maps which is called as the Venue Maps. Bing Search now gets more personalized with the launch of Venue Maps. Venue Maps can now navigate not just through roads, but it has now made it possible to run through malls directly through your browser. Currently Bing allows to search 120 malls and 3 airports (Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi) across the country.

Secondly, Microsoft has made Skype Group Video calling absolutely free on Xbox One, Windows Desktop and Mac. Additionally, Internet Explorer’s 3D FishGL which is benchmark tool is now 3D ready for both touch and desktop browser.

Microsoft with these announcements tries to provide more value to consumers and what they do with their devices.
