Micromax, India’s second largest smartphone player on 6th January 2014 announced the first ever dual boot tablet powered by Intel. The dual boot tablet runs Windows 8 and Android 4.2.2 Jell Bean mobile operating system designed to handle both PC and mobile tasks accordingly to the user’s comfort. User can choose their preferable operating system at the time of the boot or can switch by rebooting at any time
The LapTab is what Micromax calls it is powered by the Intel Bay Trail-M chipset featuring a 10.1-inches IPS display. To be more specific, the LapTab is powered by a 1.46 Ghz Intel Celeron N2805 processor, paired with 2GB RAM and 7400 mAh battery. The tablet packs a 2MP front camera allowing users to video chat and capture some moments if they want. It comes with a 32 GB internal memory which is further expandable up to 64 GB. It supports Bluetooth v4.0 and Wi-Fi to ensure limitless connectivity. The LapTab also comes with a transleeve which can be used as a cover or a stand for the wireless keyboard packed with a 230 mAh battery promising a continuous usage of approximately 20 hours.
