Micromax has launched its first smartphone which runs on Andriod 5.0 Lollipop out of the box called Micromax Canvas Fire 4. Like all other phones in Canvas Fire series, this one too features dual frontal speakers for clear unobstructed audio experience.
The phone also includes Cirrus Logic Wolfsam Stereo DAC audio output for enhanced audio experience via headphones and dual frontal speakers. The handset is fitted with 4.5 Inch FWVGA display, which is also protected by Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
Like most other budget quad core smartphone, this one too is powered by MediaTek’s MT6582 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 based quad core processor with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. Users can also plug in 32 GB MicroSD card as secondary storage.
On the photography front, this smartphone comes with 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera. Canvas Fire 4 packs a 2000 mAh battery which is above average in this price range. Micromax claims this can deliver up to 300 hours of standby time. Other features include Dual SIM connectivity, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, 3.5 mm Audio Jack, FM radio and GPS.
Several apps like Newshunt, Paytm, Dr. safety, Snapdeal, Saavn, App Center, MAD, Ask me, Clean Master, Quickr, and Chaatz come preloaded on Micromax Canvas Fire 4. Since Micromax mostly uses almost stock UI, uses will be able to appreciate material design interface.
Micromax earlier announced that it will update all popular Canvas series phones with Android 5.0 Lollipop starting from Canvas Xpress. Soon we will see most other domestic manufacturers providing trendy Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. Globally, Android 5.0 Lollipop share has doubled to 3.3 percent as compared to last month.
