Micromax has today announced that it will about to launch its first Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphone named BHARAT GO in India by the end of this month. Android Oreo Go Edition is Android’s low cost version for affordable smartphones and this project had been announce by Google last year.
Google touted that it runs very well and smoothly on affordable smartphones which will come with 1GB or 512MB RAM and up to 8GB of internal memory. These Android Go Edition smartphones will come with pre-installed apps like Google Go, YouTube Go, Google Assistant go, Gmail Go, etc. instead of Google, youtube, etc.
Apart from this, leading chipset maker Qualcomm and MediaTek has also announced that they are already working on chipsets for Android Go Edition. While, Micromax has not revealed any of the specifications of this upcoming smartphone, but according to rumors this smartphone will cost somewhere around 2,000 INR.
Speaking about BHARAT GO, Micromax, said, “Taking its mission of connecting the unconnected ahead, and providing the best in class mobility devices, Micromax will introduce BHARAT GO to deliver optimized Android experience as an entry level smartphone to millions of Indian consumers.”
