Micromax today brings its latest entry-level smartphone ‘Bharat 5’ to India which will be available for 5,555 INR via leading offline retail outlets across the country.
The company is planning to sell 6 million units of Bharat smartphones by the end of March 2018 and also touts that Bharat 5 Pro and Bharat 5 Plus will be launched in next couple of months.
Bharat 5 is fitted with 5.2 inch HD display and is equipped with 1.3 GHz quad core processor with unspecified chipset. It has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of flash storage that is expandable by up to 64GB using microSD card slot.
Bharat 5 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat OS and has two dedicated SIM slots. It packs 5 MP front and 5 MP rear cameras with Led flash light and is backed by beefy 5000mAh battery. Other connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, 3G / HSPA+, EDGE / GPRS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack.
