Chine smartphone manufacture Meizu has now launched M3 in China, and it will retail in two different variants. The base 2GB RAM + 16GB storage variant has been priced at CNY 599, while the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant will cost CNY 799. Both handsets are up for pre-order starting today.
The Meizu M3, running Android Lollipop based Flyme 5 OS, has a 5-inch HD display with Schott Xensation cover glass for protection. It is powered by MediaTek’s big.LITTLE MT6750 chipset which has 4 performance Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz, and another 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1GHz.
The Meizu M3 lists a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens, LED flash, and phase detection autofocus (PDAF). On the front, you will find a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, also with a wide f/2.0 aperture lens.
The dual SIM slot used is hybrid, which means you will most probably sacrifice dual SIM advantage for additional MicroSD card storage (up to 32GB supported). Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS with Glonass.
The Meizu M3 is quite light, tipping the scale at 132 grams and also houses a 2870mAh battery within its 8.3 mm thick molded polycarbonate body. There is no official word on Global availability. In China, Meizu M3 will be available in Gold, Grey, White, Blue, and Pink colour options.
