Meizu, a Chinese smartphone maker, has launched its affordable smartphone- M2 in India just for Rs. 6,999. This 4G enabled smartphone will be exclusively available on e-commerce channel Snapdeal. Registrations are open from 10 am today onwards and the handset will go on sale from Monday onwards.
Meizu m2 features a 5 inch HD display with AGC Dragontail glass on top and backed by 1.3 GHz 64 bit quad core processor with MediaTek MT6735 chipset assisted by Mali T720 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of flash memory which is expandable by up to another 128GB via microSD card.
Meizu m2 sports a Samsung 13 MP CMOS camera on its rear side with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 lens glass. It also has a 5 MP front facing camera to shoot selfies and is powered by 2500mAh battery which is offering up to 23 hours of talk time and up to 680 hours of standby time on 2G network.
On the software front, Meizu m2 runs on Flyme OS 4.5 which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. Apart from 4G, connectivity options include EDGE / GPRS, 3G, Wi-fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS / A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB slot, dual SIM support and 3.5mm audio jack.
This smartphone supports both 4G LTE bands- TDD LTE and FDD LTE. Meizu m2 will compete with YU Yuphoria, Micormax Canvas Blaze 4G, Intex Aqua Turbo 4G, Moto E 2nd Gen 4G and Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime in Indian market.
