LG has today has expanded its ‘X series’ with the launch of ‘X Venture’ smartphone. It will be available in Black and Brown color variants in U.S. from 26th May 2017 onwards. You can get this handset through AT&T at USD 11 per month for 30 months. It will cost USD 330 and will be rolling out worldwide in next few weeks.
The handset is certified for shock, temperature, and drop resistance and is also water resistant certified. You can also submerge it in 1.5-meter deep water for up to 30 minutes without risking damage.
If we talk about specifications, LG X Venture is equipped with a 5.2 inch full HD display and is powered by Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, where 4 cores clocked at 1.4 GHz and other 4 cores clocked at 1.1 GHz along with Adreno 505 GPU.
X Venture has 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB of inbuilt memory which can be expanded by up to additional 128GB using microSD card. On the software side of things, It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat which is still the latest android flavour around and houses a juicy 4100mAh battery.
X Venture packs a 16 MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash light and also has a 5 MP snapper at front with 120-degree wide angle lens. It comes with a fingerprint reader which is embedded in its home button.
There is an additional ‘quick button’ which is placed on its side and makes it easier to trigger apps and other features. You can shortly press this button for outdoor essentials (one stop app for flashlight, activity tracker, and more), long press to go to settings, double tap on it to toggle glove mode, etc.
Connectivity features of LG X Venture include a 4G VoLTE, 3G / HSPA+, EDGE / GPRS, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, GLONASS, Micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack.
