LG G5 Coming To India In Q2 2016

LG G5 was the start of the show this year at MWC, being a refreshing, powerful, and innovative smartphone, but if you are in India salivating over all that awesomeness packed in metal unibody design, you will have to hold your horses for a bit.

LG has today announced that it will bring G5 in India in second quarter that is anywhere between 1st April and 30th June, 2016.

The LG G5 is a metal body phone with modular design. You can clip off the bottom part and replace it with accessory modules, which LG insipidly calls ‘Friends’. There are several companion devices which you can purchase and use to get more out of your phone. These include LG 360 VR, LG 360 CAM, LG Rolling Bot, LG Tone PlatinumTM, H3 by B&O PLAY, LG Smart Controller and LG Friends Manager.

Announcing the launch of LG G5 next quarter, Mr Amit Gujral, Marketing Head – Mobiles, LG India, said “We are really happy to see all the positivity around the LG G5 ever since its global unveil at the MWC. In fact, in a survey conducted in Korea the LG G5 topped consumer preference leaving its closest competitors trailing far behind. We hope to make this available to users in India very soon and are optimistic that consumers will love its revolutionary design and features.”

Talking of features and specifications, LG G5 includes a 5.3-inch Quad HD IPS Quantum Display (2560 x 1440 / 554ppi) and is powered by Qualcomm’s best Snapdragon 820 quad core processor with Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB UFS storage.

On the rear side, LG has provided with an additional 8MP wide-angle lens camera, apart from LG G4’s 16MP camera module. Other features include 8MP front camera, Android 6.0 Marshmallow based software, Wi-Fi 802.11 a, b, g, n, ac, USB Type-C, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, MicroSD card support and 2800 mAh battery with fast charging support.
