LG’s slim arc design G4 is an almost perfect phone. One of the popular gripe against this 2015 LG flagship is the absence of metal. The phone is clad in plastic or leather draped plastic, in an age where permutations and combinations of glass and metal are widely accepted norms for premium finish.
LG tries to fix that – well, sort of. The South Korean manufacturer has today introduced LG G4 Metal , a new LG G4 variant with brushed metallic finish on back cover, which is still plastic. Everything else remains exactly same.
The LG G4 includes a 5.5 Inch QHD Quantum LCD display, powered by Snapdragon 808 Hexa Core chipset with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. It includes a wonderful 16 MP Rear camera with OIS and laser AF, a curved design(which according to LG makes it 20 percent more resilient in case of drops) and is the only 2015 flagship with a MicroSD card slot.
Deepak Jasrotia, Business Head, LG Mobiles India, said, “We have always believed in offering only those products to our consumers that complement their style in making a statement. The G4’s leather back was a step in that direction and we’ve taken it to the next step with this metallic variant of G4. The G4 is our most ambitious product of 2015 and we hope the consumers will continue to show their love for this smartphone, now in an all-new metallic avatar.
LG has also slashed the prices of Leather back and Ceramic back variants, which will now be available for 41,990 INR and 38,990 INR. The new LG G4 Metal will be available in India for 40,000 INR.
