Lenovo Yoga 920, Yoga 720 Covertible Laptops and Miix 520 2-in-1 Launched

Lenovo a renowned manufacturer of convertibles and 2-in-1s has launched two Yoga series convertible laptops – Yoga 920 and Yoga 720- and a Windows 2-in-1 Miix 520 at the ongoing IFA 2017 in Berlin.

Lenovo Yoga 920

The Yoga 920 includes an almost edgeless 13.9-inch 4K display (the vertical bezels measure just 5mm). The display can rotate 360 degree and is supported on a machined aluminum hinge. The Yoga 920 is also quite light measuring just 1.37 Kgs.

On the inside, it’s powered by up to 8th generation Core i7 processors, 8GB to 16GB of RAM, and 256GB to 1TB of SATA SSD. The software is Windows 10 Home with Cortana support (even in standby).  Other features include JBL speakers, Dolby ATMOS via headphones, 720p HD Cam, and 10.8 hours of battery. If you go with the 1080p display variant, battery life can go up to 15.5 hours.

Lenovo Yoga 720

The Yoga 720 has a smaller 12.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 resolution and Anti-Glare coating. The display also supports Active Pen input.

The convertible is powered by 7th generation Intel chips (up to i7) paired with 4GB to 12GB of DDR4 RAM and 128GB to 512GB of SATA SSD. The Yoga 72o weighs just 1.15 Kgs and offers up to 8 hours of battery life. It has only One USB Type-C Port with display port support and one USB 3.0 port.

As for audio, there are Harman speakers on the convertible laptop with Dolby support. It also includes a backlit keyboard and 720p HD Fixed-Focus CMOS Camera with Array Digital Microphones.

Lenovo Miix 520

The Miix 520 is an even lighter 2-in-1 that includes an 880 gram,9.9mm thick tablet and a 180-gram keyboard.  The keyboard is backlight and has keys with 1.5mm travel. The 12.2-inch full HD IPS LCD display also accepts Lenovo Active Pen 2 Stylus input.

There is a 5MP camera on both front and rear and an 8MP optional WorldView camera that can capture 360-degree videos. The chips powering Miix 520 range from 7th generation Core-i3 to 8th generation Core-i7.  You can also choose between 4GB and 16GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 1TB PCIe SSD.

Other features include stereo speakers and Dolby Audio, 4 microphones, one USB-C and one regular USB 3.0. port., SIM card slot, and 7.5 hours of battery life.

Yoga 920 and Yoga 720 price starts at $1329 and $649, respectively. On the other hand, the Miix 520 price starts at $999.99.
