Alongside the dual camera K8 Plus, Lenovo also introduced K8, a low-end K8 series phone that will retail at offline stores sometime around Diwali. Lenovo hasn’t announced the price of the phone yet, but since this one is meant to be pushed via offline distribution channels, don’t expect a competitive price tag.
It has the same design as the K8 Plus and occupies about the same footprint. The only conspicuous difference between the two is that this one has a single camera on the rear. Just as the K8 Note and Plus, this one too will be available in fine gold and venom Black color options.
As for specifications, this smartphone comes with a 5.2-inch HD display with 2.5D curved glass on top. The handset is powered by 2.3GHz MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core based on 16nm processor. The mobile platform is supported by 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Lenovo has also added a dedicated card slot that can be used for adding secondary SD card storage.
Like other new K8 series phones, this one too runs stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. The dual SIM phone has a 13MP rear (only one) and an 8MP selfie camera on the front.
Other features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 820.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, Dolby Atmos and a 4000mAh battery which offers you up to 2 days of battery life with 10W fast charger.
