Lenovo today brings its new smartphone called K8 Plus at an event in New Delhi, India. The highlight of this handset is its dual rear camera setup in which primary camera comes with 13 MP resolution and a secondary 5 MP rear camera.
K8 Plus is the successor of K6 Power and looks similar to K8 Note which was launched last month in India, but its more compact than K8 Note. K8 Plus comes in Venom Black and Fine Gold color options and will be priced at Rs.10,999. It will be exclusively available on leading online retailer Flipkart from tomorrow onwards.
Comes to the specifications, K8 Plus is fitted with a 5.2 inch full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display which amounts to 423ppi pixel density and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It features a 13 MP primary rear camera with dual tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and purecell sensor and a secondary 5 MP rear depth sensor. It also has an 8 MP front facing camera with selfie flash and f/2.0 aperture.
K8 Plus employs 2.6 GHz Octa Core MediaTek Helio P25 16nm mobile platform assisted by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM that can be further expanded by up to another 128GB via microSD card. K8 Plus runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo which was launched last month by Google.
K8 Plus has a 4000mAh battery which offers up to 2 days of battery life and a fingerprint scanner on its back. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, 3G / HSPA+, EDGE / GPRS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Micro USB 2.0 port, 3.5mm audio jack and dual SIM connectivity.
The company has confirmed that its 4GB RAM variant will launch in India near Diwali festival.
