Lenovo K4 Note is the successor of the last year online bestseller K3 Note, and will go on sale via flash sales starting 19th January. Over 2 Lakh consumers have already registered for the K4 Note, and thus, most people won’t be able to buy it for a long time. A worthy alternative is Infocus M680, which is available for a slightly lower price. Let’s compare the two and evaluate which looks like a better choice.

Display and Processor
Both of these phones have 5.5 Inch full HD IPS LCD displays (401 PPI), which places them on the same pedestal, at least on paper. The similarities don’t end there. Both handsets are also at par with one another when it comes to raw processing muscle.
Both, The K4 Note and Infocus M680, are powered by 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core 64-bit processor, but Lenovo K4 Note has more RAM (3GB VS 2GB) which should result in more durable performance and better multitasking.
Camera and Software
The Infocus M680 includes the same camera module on both front and rear side. You get two 13MP Samsung 3M2 sensors with F2.2 aperture lens and LED flash while the Lenovo K4 Note offers 13MP rear camera with F2.2 aperture lens and a 5MP selfies camera on the front. Camera quality is a function of many hardware and software variables but again, on paper, M680 has a selfie-advantage.
Both handsets are running Android 5.1 Lollipop based customized software. Lenovo has confirmed version upgrade for K4 Note but didn’t reveal any time frame for the update. Even Infocus has confirmed that M680 will get the Marshmallow update but just like Lenovo no update about the release date.
Battery and Other Features
The Infocus M680 relies on a 2600mAh battery, whereas the K4 Note has significantly bigger 3300 mAh power unit. Additional K4 Note advantages include a fingerprint sensor, Dual frontal speakers with Dolby Atmos audio and TheatreMax, which allows for a VR headset based movie theatre like immersive experience across the whole interface.
On paper, both smartphones are quite close. The Infocus M680 has a Full metal body and a 13MP selfies camera to its advantage, while the K4 Note promises better multimedia experience (front facing Dolby Atmos speakers, bigger battery, Theatremax) and a fingerprint sensor. Also, Infocus M680 is slightly more affordable and offers a free selfie stick.
