LeEco today Refreshed its superphone lineup with the launch of Le 2, Le 2 Pro and Le Max smartphones in China. All of these handsets have metal uni-body design with very narrow bezels around the display, do not have 3.5 mm audio jack (USB Type C headphones will work) and are running the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow based EUI 5.8 software.
The Le Max 2 comes with a 5.7-inch QHD display (which is a good deal smaller than original Le Max) and is powered by 2.15GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes in 2 storage variants – The 32GB UFS 2.0 storage variant with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and the 64GB UFS 2.0 variant with 4GB/ 6GB LPDDR4 RAM.
Another notable feature of Le Max 2 is the new Qualcomm’s Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor which is faster, more accurate, works with wet fingers and is more secure. Other features include 21MP rear camera with dual-tone, LED flash, Sony IMX230 sensor, PDAF, OIS, 6P lenses, f/2.0 aperture, 8MP front camera, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type C and 3100 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
The LeEco Le 2 and Le 2 Pro include 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with 500nits brightness, 8MP front camera, 4G LTE, CDLA loss-less audio, Dolby Atmos. Fingerprint sensor, infrared sensor, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type C and 3000 mAh battery.
The Le 2 is powered by 2.3GHz MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, 3GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB (eMMC5.1) internal storage, while the pro variant houses MediaTek Helio X20 / X25 deca-core processor with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB (eMMC5.1) internal storage.
There is a camera difference too. The Le 2 has a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and Le 2 Pro has a 21MP rear camera with dual-tone, LED flash, Sony IMX230 sensor, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and 6P lens.
LeEco Le 2 is priced at 1099 yuan, the Le 2 Pro is priced at 1399 yuan for the Helio X20 version, 1499 yuan for Helio X25 version and the Le Max 2 price ranges between 2099 Yuan and 2499 Yuan. LeEco is likely to bring these devices to India as well sometime later.
