Lava International Limited the known Indian handset manufacturer launched the next iteration to their best selling smartphone Iris X1 as a selfie focused smartphone. Marketed as a smartphone having 5MP front facing camera with LED flash.
The Lava Iris X5 features 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal memory. It also comes with expandable memory expansion support up to 32GB via microSD card. It comes with 2100mAh battery, all packed in a 7.7mm slim profile. The Lava Iris X5 sports a 5-Inch 720p HD LCD IPS full laminated display. The USP of this handset is its 5MP front facing wide angle lens camera BSI+ sensor camera covering 84 degrees of visible area in the arc.
On the back, it comes with a 8MP rear snapper which is capable of taking good pictures. The focus of this smartphone is on how to take good selfies, observing the trend. LED Flash for a front camera might sound good, but we shall have to inspect it further in order to get better details.
Priced at Rs 8799, Iris X5 will be available in Grey and later in white and black colors in the following weeks. The phone comes with an intelligent Flip cover powered by hall sensor that puts the phone automatically in sleep mode ensuring reduced battery consumption.
The phone shall be available on Amazon.in and other retail channels in India starting September 1, 2014 with a free 16GB bundled microSD card.
