To cash in on the success of Lava Iris X1, the Moto E competitor we saw last year, Lava has today introduced Iris X1 Grand and Iris X1 Mini, with the most noticeable difference between the three being display size.
The Lava Iris X1 Grand has a 5 inch IPS LCD display with FWVGA 854 X 480 pixel resolution. The handset is powered by 1.3 GHz quad core MT6582M chipset with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. The storage can be further extended by another 32 GB using MicroSD card support.
Imaging hardware is similar to Lava Iris X1, with an 8 MP BSI 2 Camera on the rear side and a 2 MP front camera for those interested in selfies. Software is Andriod 4.4.2 KitKat and Lava has also enabled gesture support which lets you open apps directly from home screen. Other features include 2200 mAh battery, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
Lava Iris X1 Mini is the smallest of the three with a 4 Inch WVGA display and is powered by 1.2 GHz quad core processor with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. The handset includes a 5 MP rear camera and a VGA front camera as well. The dual sim phone is 9 mm thick and includes a 1750 mAh battery. Connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
