ZTE also introduced a ‘mini’ version of Axon 7, called the Axon 7 mini. The Axon 7 Mini includes powerful dual frontal stereo speakers. These speakers support Dolby Atmos support and are handled by a dedicated audio chip.
Besides its audio prowess, the ZTE Axon 7 Mini offers a decent set of hardware specifications for a reasonable $334 price.
To start with, there is a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass layered on top. The handset is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. You can further add 128gigs of secondary MicroSD card storage, but only if you let go of the dual SIM privilege (the slot is hybrid).
For photography, the handset includes a 16MP rear camera with dual LED flash, PDAF, OIS and with f/1.9 aperture. The front 8MP selfie camera boasts of a wide-angle f/2.2 aperture lens.
Like most new entrants, this one too is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Other features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with GLONASS, USB Type-C port and a modest 2705mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support. All this hardware is wrapped in a metallic casing measuring 7.8mm in thickness and tipping the scale at 153g.
