Huawei has launched a new Mate series smartphone- Mate S with force touch display at IFA 2015, Berlin. Mate S will be available in two storage variants- 32GB and 64GB which have been priced at 649 and 699 Euros respectively.
Mate S flaunts a 5.5 inch full HD AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 layer on top. It’s force touch display can automatically analyses different levels of pressure. It is fired by octa core Huawei Kirin 935 processor where four cores are clocked at 2.2 GHz and another four cores are clocked at 1.5 GHz, all paired with Mali T628MP4 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB inbuilt memory.
On the photography section, Mate S packs a 13 MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and OIS, and also houses an 8 MP front facing camera with LED flash for good quality selfies, even in low light conditions. The Mate S is equipped with 2700 mAh battery with unspecified talk time and standby time.
Mate S is running company’s own Emotion 3.1 UI, which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop AOSP. It comes with hybrid dual SIM support which means users can use second SIM slot either as a microSD card or SIM card slot. Connectivity features include EDGE, 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-fi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS / A-GPS, Micro USB port etc.

Huawei Mate S 32GB version will be available at 649 Euros in Titanium Grey and Mystic Champagne color options. On the other hand, 64GB version of Mate S comes in Prestige Gold and Coral Pink color variants at 699 Euros. Both these variants will be available in more than 30 countries including Germany, France, China, Japan, Spain, South Africa, UAE starting from September 2015.
