Smartphone maker Huawei has announced its partnership with Sports For All (SFA), an initiative to organize Indian sports at inter-school and inter-college level, and will be sponsoring the SFA Mumbai 2016 on 11th December, 2016 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
Huawei’s brand ambassador, Sania Nehwal, will also attend the event to celebrate Girls Day to encourage young sport aspirants. The event aims to groom and motivate young players in order to mold their professional journey.
Over 35,000 kids will be participating in the three-week long event across 25 different sporting categories.
Speaking on the occasion, Saina said “I’m glad to be associated with this initiative that Honor has partnered with. SFA Mumbai 2016 is a step towards providing Indian sports players the much needed encouragement and I’m glad to be associated with it. I’m looking forward to meeting the young and talented sportsplayers of our country in Mumbai. Also, as SFA celebrates Girls day on 11th December, I’d like to urge young girls and their families to believe in their potential and showcase their talent to the world.”
Speaking on their association with SFA, Mr. P Sanjeev, Vice president (sales), Huawei India Consumer Business group said, “We have a history of working with sportspersons from across the globe and are very excited to be working with SFA Mumbai 2016 in this initiative to provide young aspiring sportspersons with a platform to excel.”
