Huawei India partners with Royal Challengers Bangalore for IPL 2014

Huawei the information and communication technology solutions provider in India has partnered with the IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 13, 2014. Just days before the 7th season of the Indian Premier League which will kick-off from April 16, 2014 in Dubai, Huawei has unveiled their role with the IPL team.


Huawei India will be designated as the principal sponsor of the team which will be captained by superb cricket player Virat Kohli. Huawei have its R&D center in Bangalore which was their first setup in India. Therefore following the ethics and transformation towards becoming a consumer brand which is witnessed by the recent partnership with Arsenal as the official smartphone partner associated with Paris SG Football club and also with Canberra Raiders in Australia.

The partners also unveiled the new RCB team jersey which has the Huawei logo on the front depicting their role as the principal sponsor of the team. Huawei will also have significant brand exposure around RCB’s home ground, the Chinnaswamy Stadium, along with in-stadium promotional rights. To expand the mutually beneficial contours of this partnership, both partners will shortly launch a series of joint marketing initiatives to engage with their respective fans and consumers across India.
