HTC has launched the Desire 820 along with Desire 820q in India. Desire 820 was unveiled at the IFA 2014 and it is the successor of Desire 816. Both the phones will be available from early November and company would announce the price closer to the launch.
HTC Desire 820 comes with a 5.5 inch HD display and it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with HTC Sense UI on top. It is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor (1.5 GHz quad core + 1 Ghz quad core) along with 2 GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU unit.
HTC Desire 820q comes with the same display but is powered by a 1.2 Ghz quad core processor along with 1 GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU for graphics. Both smartphones have a 13 megapixel back camera along with LED flash and an 8 megapixel front facing camera. HTC desire 820 supports HTC’s Dot view case which allows instant access to some of the phone features without opening the cover.
Both HTC desire 820 & 820q comes with dual front facing speakers, dual SIM support (nano SIM), LTE support and 2,600 mAh battery. They come in a range of colors like Marble White, Tuxedo Grey, Santorini White, Milky-way Grey, Tangerine White, Saffron Grey, Flamingo Grey, Blue Mist, and Monarch Orange. The devices will go on sale in India in early November and pricing information would be disclosed near the actual launch.
