HP unveils new range of Mobility Devices

HP today unveiled a complete new range of gadgets to offer new commercial mobility solutions that will surely transform the workplace and will result in better productivity. The company launched eight new mobile phones, lots of accessories and a new strategic relationship which will allow companies to simplify and streamline their business operations.

HP has taken a new modular approach which features secure and purpose built devices. The company is focusing on mobility solution for all kind of businesses which included education, field service, public safety, healthcare and retail industries.


The new devices which were launched by HP are:

  • HP Pro Slate 8 and HP Pro Slate 12

Both of these devices are HD commercial grade Android tablets which are available in 8 inch and 12 inch display respectively. Both the tablets are powered by a Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series processor and are light in weight. Both the devices are specially designed with business productivity in mind which is the reason that both tablets features a wide range of accessories enabled by HP’s Zero Force connector. HP Pro Slate 8 is the world’s the first tablets to use Corning Gorilla Glass 4. HP Pro Slate 8 and HP Pro Slate 12 is expected to be available in May with a starting price of INR 33,000 and INR 41,500 respectively.

  • HP Duet Pen

It is first of its kind pen which will use Qualcomm Snapdragon digital pen technology on both a tablet and regular paper. The pen comes with both the tablets mentioned above.

  • HP Elite x2 1011 G1

It is a stylish, light weight, 11.6 inch 2-in1 device which can easily transform from a tablet to a laptop. It is tested to military specs for delivery strong durability. It is equipped with accessories that includes an industry-first WiGig enterprise wireless dock which is directly based on a joint collaboration with Intel. Apart from that, this device comes along with a cover, a lightweight travel keyboard and an optional Wacom pen. HP Elite x2 1011 G1 is available now with a starting price of INR 85,000/-.

  • HP Pro Tablet 10 EE for Windows/Android

Both the devices are almost same with the only difference in operating system. Both the tablets offer a durable design and are tested for dust, moisture and drop. There is an optional 3G connectivity and a hard wired keyboard with an option of track pad. HP Pro Slate 10 EE is available now with a starting price of INR 22,000 and INR 25,00 (3G).

  • HP Pro Tablet 408 G1

It is only 9mm thin and is powered by an Intel Atom processor. This 8-inch tablet provides complete Windows 8.1 experience. The features include micro-HDMI, 64 GB ROM, 8MP rear camera, 3G and durability.  HP Pro Tablet 408 G1 is available now with a starting price of INR 23,500.

  • HP Elite 1000 G2 Healthcare Tablet

It is basically designed to improve caregiver productivity and enhance patient interaction. This tablet comes with an anti-microbial treatment and it can be easily cleaned. This tablet can be used at any clinical places and it reduces the risk of medical errors by using the 2D barcode reader to validate personnel, patients, and catalog and administrate medication. It is expected to be available in July with a starting price of INR 85,000.

  • HP ElitePad 1000 G2 Rugged Tablet

It is specially designed tablet and is a perfect solution both in and out of the office for mobile workers in manufacturing environments. The device offers up to 20 hours of battery life and comes with a 2D barcode reader to quickly access information.  It is expected to be available in July with a starting price of INR 85,000.

  • HP Retail Case for ElitePad

This new case offers two built-in cradle areas for mounting payment devices and the ability to dock to existing POS solutions. The device features hand and shoulder straps for providing retail store operators an easier and more comfortable way to access inventory and product availability. It is expected to be available in March with a starting price of INR INR 26,000 for a no battery Case and INR 29,000 for a Case including battery.

  • HP EliteBook Folio 1020 family

This family includes one of the thinnest and lightest notebooks which are HP EliteBook 1020 and the HP EliteBook 1020 Special Edition. Both are just 15. 7 mm thin and weighs under 1 kg. It is expected to be available in March with a starting price of INR 95,000/-.

HP is one of the key player in gadget market and with all these new gadgets, HP is trying its best to remain on the top of the market.
