Honor 8 Lite with 5.2-inch 1080p display, Android 7.0, fingerprint sensor announced

Huawei has launched the new Honor 8 Lite in Finland today. You can call this the mini model of the Honor 8 that was launched last year. The phone has some noticeable differences with the primary camera. The Honor 8 sported the dual 12MP cameras while the Honor 8 Lite brings a single 12MP primary camera. Under the hood, the Honor 8 Lite comes with a Kirin 655 processor which isn’t as powerful as the processor present in the Honor 8. There’s a plus point though, the phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Huawei’s EMUI 5.0 on top.

The full HD screen is now protected with a 2.5HD glass which makes the front of the phone look quite sleek. There’s an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Overall the phone looks quite good but it is a bit bigger than the Honor 8.

As mentioned, the phone runs on an Octa-core Kirin 655 and has a Mali T830-MP2 GPU which will handle graphics and display on the 5.2-inch full HD screen. You get 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. It is a dual SIM phone that has a hybrid SIM slot. The imaging department is handled by a primary camera of 12MP with LED flash and a front facing camera of 8MP. You also get a finger print sensor on the back below the camera. The phone has a 3000mAh battery which will give you a decent battery life.

The phone comes in four colors i.e. Gold, Blue, Black and White and it is priced at 269 Euros.
