Apple has officially scheduled an event which is going to be held at in Cupertino, California on 21st of March, 2016 at 10.00 AM (PT) or 11.30 PM (IST). The event has been labeled “let’s loop you in” and reportedly Apple will launch smaller than usual devices at this event, which will include an iPhone, iPad pro and new Apple Watch models.
This updated iPhone, dubbed as iPhone SE, will flaunt a smaller 4 inch display and will reportedly be powered by company’s latest A9 chipset. Numerous leaks hint at the handset resembling iPhone 5s in design, but will have more color options including rose gold. Apple will revamp the guts and bring it at par with iPhone 6. But do we really want to see an iPhone 5s variant in 2016? Not really.
Besides the smaller iPhone, Apple will also launch a 9.7 inch display iPad Pro with Apple’s stylus and keyboard. This will be similar to the 12.9 inch model launched late last year, but in a smaller shell. It will have a brighter display, A9X chipset, more RAM and Smart connector when compared to iPad Air 2, while flaunting a similar size.
Apple will also introduce more band types for its Apple Watch. These bands can be bought separately or bundled with new purchases. New options include NATO style nylon bands, Black Milanese loop, new sports bands and new hermes bands.
On the software side, Apple is expected to launch the final build of iOS 9.3 for which it has already pushed 6 Betas. The new iOS 9.3 includes Night Shift (to adjust color temperature based on ambient light), Touch ID notes, new CarPlay features and more.
Besides iOS 9.3, Apple is also expected to talk about tvOS 9.2, watchOS 2.2, OS X 10.11.4, and an iTunes update. According to the company, apart from iOS, Mac and Apple TV users, Windows 10 users can also enjoy this event live via Microsoft Edge browser.
