GoPro’s Karma drone back on sale after recall

GoPro is a company that changed the market of action cameras for good. Last year in 2016 they launched the GoPro Karma which was the company’s first drone but they had to recall all the drones just after few weeks of the launch due to some issues with the Karma. The issue with the Karma caused the drone to lose power mid flight due to a fault in the battery latch. The sales were stopped after the recall was announced and as per GoPro the issues have been resolved and the Karma is now back on sale.

GoPro Karma

The GoPro Karma will officially be sold at some selected US retailers like Best Buy, B&H and Amazon along with their own store on There’s no bump or snips in the pricing as the GoPro Karma drone will sell at $799 without the Hero 5 and at $1099 you will be able to grab both the Karma as well as the GoPro Hero 5 action camera. You will also be able to buy a version of GoPro Karma without a stabilizer at $599 which is another option that people have. The availability has been limited to United States but it will be available internationally after spring of 2017. The company has finally fixed the GoPro Karma’s battery latch by redesigning it and the issue seems to be fixed.

It will be interesting to see how successful the Karma is going to be as it is one of the best drones out there if specifications are to be considered.
