The camera is powered by a EXR processor which is capable of delivering high speed and performance while recording Full HD movies, High Speed Continuous shooting, Scene Recognition and fast focus. The manual barrel zoom is something that people don’t get with a normal Digital Camera. Once you start using it, you will just develop a love for the same. The barrel zoom provides you much better control and precision than the regular button zooming available in the digital cameras.

It comes with a powerful 30X optical zoom and 60 Intelligent Digital Zoom. To give you an idea about the power of 30X optical zoom we clicked 2 images from the same location. First without any zoom and the other after using 30X zoom.

In the above image we just added a black circle to give you an idea where we would be zooming and clicking our next image. Just check out the image below which was clicked after using the full 30x zoom.

You can see even after zooming 30X the image quality is as good as the first image. You won’t find much noise or blur in the images clicked at 30x Zoom. This is really a great thing for people looking to click far away objects like in the case of wildlife photography.

Here are some of the other sample images we clicked with the Fujifilm FinePix HS25EXR camera :

  1. I dont consider AA batteries a con really. You dont have to wait to recharge batteries when you run out of power on a long photography day. (Like you would need to do if you were using a Li-ion one). Just pop in a very easily available AA battery and continue shooting! The barrel zoom is great for zooming in and out quickly and accurately BUT it is much harder to control at full telephoto. I some how still prefer electronic zoom for super zoom cameras. 🙂
