The much awaited LG V20 is now official. The successor of very popular and admired LG V10 inherits and carries forward the V series strong points and also incorporates some new significant changes. It also beats Google’s own Nexus phones to become the first Smartphone to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
Like its predecessor, the LG V20 is a powerful phone for audiophiles. The handset list features like ESS SABRE ES9218 Quad DAC, B&O audio, and High AOP Mic. It also has a 2.1-inch always on ticker display that doubles as a powerful multitasking tool.
On the outside, the handset is made of premium metal back, silicon-polycarbonate top and bottom caps, and confirms to US Military Standard MIL-STD 810G and can withstand drops from 1.2 meter height.
Both the primary 5.7-inch QHD IPS LCD display and the 2.1-inch 160 x 1040 ticker display amount to 513ppi sharpness. The LG V20 is powered by Quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB (UFS 2.0) internal memory and 2TB microSD card support.
On the rear, LG has used two cameras same as in LG G5. There is a 16MP primary camera OIS 2.0, F1.8 aperture and an 8MP shooter with 135 degree wide angle lens. A 5MP selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture, 120 degree wide angle lens is also present on the front.
Other features include, 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port and a 3200mAh battery. LG has managed to fit in all this hardware in a 7.6mm thin casing.
