Elephone Officially Enters India with 5.5 mm Slim G7 Selling At 8,888 INR

A Chinese smartphone maker, Elephone has today officially entered in Indian smartphone market with the launch of its new smartphone Elephone G7, which is super slim, measuring only 5.5 mm in thickness. G7 will be exclusively available on an e-commerce channel Snapdeal for 8,888 INR.

G7 incorporates a 5.5 inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 layered on top. It is powered by 1.4 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592M processor along with Mali 450 GPU and 1 GB RAM. It also has an 8 GB inbuilt memory which is expandable up to 32 GB via micro SD card.

G7 sports a 13 MP camera on its rear side with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture capable of full HD video recording and also packs an 8 MP front facing camera for detailed selfies. It houses a 2650 mAh battery, which on paper is above average in this price range.

Elephone G7 is running Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS which is slightly dated in modern scenario, but you won’t face any immediate compatibility issues either. Connectivity options include EDGE / GPRS, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Micro USB port, dual SIM functionality, etc.

Elephone G7 has interesting specifications, save for 1 GB RAM, which might not be readily acceptable by all classes of users as several phones are now offering 2 GB RAM in the same budget.  Elephone G7 will compete against phones like Lenovo K3 Note, Yu Yureka and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G in India.
