Dell has added few new laptops in their Inspiron series – 14R and 15R which are currently being targeted at Gen Y consumers. These new laptops are thinner, lighter, more powerful and have better battery life than the previous generation Inspiron laptops. Both the new laptops would come with Windows 8.
In the new Inspiron 14R and 15R users can opt for i3, i5 or i7 processor according to their needs and preferences. The new Inspiron laptops are less than 1 inch in thickness which makes them 17% thinner and 15% lighter than their predecessors. The new laptops are available in Moon Silver brushed aluminum finish, Peacock Blue and Fire Red color options. So now you don’t need to carry dull looking laptops to your office or college.
Users can also opt for Full HD display in the Inspiron 15R along with the anti glare finish. The best feature of the new Inspiron laptops is that you can also opt for a touch display. Touch display Inspiron laptops would be available in India from April 2013.
Both 14R and 15R would also support high-end features like 3×3 dual-band wireless support based on the latest Wi-Fi N standards, Bluetooth 4.0 support, HDMI 1.4a support, and stereo speakers with Waves MaxxAudio 4 processing that was initially introduced in Dell’s high end XPS laptop range.
The devices would also come preloaded with Skype and H.264 enablement for HD video chats or calls. You can also enjoy the Intel’s wireless display because these laptops comes with Intel wireless card support. Users can also enjoy the multi-touch gestures of Windows 8 in case they opt for touch display.
The new laptops are now available at Dell.co.in (online store), all Dell exclusive stores, Preferred Partner stores and channel partners across the country. The starting price of these laptops is Rs 36,000 exclusive of taxes and it goes higher depending upon the configuration you choose.
