Gorilla Glass the break proof glass by Corning which is used in mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets have announced the availability of two new products in India which are – Gorilla Glass 3 and Antimicrobial Gorilla Glass.
2013 witnessed the growth of the smartphone industry in India along with top domestic players opting for Gorilla Glass. Corning aims to further develop its consumer base in 2014 with more partnerships reaching out to more users.
Corning Gorilla Glass as we know is tough and break proof, though it can be scratched. Corning received a market insight that apart from preventing the smartphone glass from breaking there is a demand that it needs to be protected from scratches. Therefore, at CES 2013 Corning announced the Gorilla Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance which can handle deep scratches and cracks which can cause glass failure.
Along with the Gorilla Glass 3, Corning also launched the Antimicrobial Gorilla Glass in India. It is the world’s first antimicrobial glass for smartphones which has ionic silver in its chemical combination. Silver straight away kill the germs protecting us from any kind of heath problems which can affect us.
Corning Gorilla Glass is currently on more than 33 major brands, 2,400 product models, and 2.4 billion devices in use today. It is manufactured in the United States, Korea, and Taiwan and serves almost every corner of the globe.
