Coolpad Note 3 Plus that was launched today turned out to be an upgraded Note 3, rather than something ground breaking, but the Chinese smartphone maker simultaneously announced that the next big thing is arriving on 20th May, 2016.
This new smartphone is most likely Coolpad Max which flaunts a 6.9mm slim metal clad body with 2.5D glass at the front, and was introduced in China a few months back.
Coolpad Max is expected to come with a 5.5 inch full HD display and to be powered by 1.5 GHz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 MSM8952 processor. It may come with 3GB of RAM and 16GB/ 32GB internal storage that can further be augmented via MicroSD card support.
Other features of Coolpad Max include 13MP rear camera, 5MP selfie camera, 2800 mAh battery, and a rear mounted fingerprint scanner. In China, the handset was introduced with Android Lollipop, but in India the company is expected to launch it with Andorid Marshmallow based Cool UI ROM.
The Coolpad Max seems like a decent smartphone on paper, but one with a mediocre chipset. You are advised to take all this information with a pinch of salt as nothing has been officially confirmed yet. The handset was originally introduced for 2499 Yuan (Approx 25,000 INR) but in India, the company is expected to price it below 20,000 INR.
