Blackberry has launched its first android smartphone- BlackBerry Priv in India for the price of 62,990 INR. Priv was earlier announced back in October 2015 in US and will be available online through Amazon.in and offline via leading retail stores from 30th January 2016 onwards all over the country.
BlackBerry Priv offers the best of both worlds. The display is touch enabled and slides away to reveal a physical keyboard, if that is more in line with your taste.
Speaking of the display, the BlackBerry Priv flaunts a 5.43 inch Quad HD (2560 X 1440 pixels) dual curved Amoled panel with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 layer on top. For photography, It packs an 18 MP AF rear camera with dual LED flash, OIS, f/2.2 aperture and 4K video recording. Priv is also equipped with 2MP selfies camera with f/2.8 aperture and 1.7 micron pixel size at front.
BlackBerry Priv is backed by 64 bit Hexa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor where 4 cores clocked at 1.44 GHz and another 2 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. It has a 3GB of RAM, 32GB of ROM and a microSD card slot which supports up to another 2TB. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.
BlackBerry Priv houses a 3410mAh battery which is promised to deliver up to 22.5 hours of battery backup of mixed usage. This smartphone measures 147 x 77.2 x 9.4mm and weighs 192 grams. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, 3G / HSPA+, EDGE / GPRS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS with A-GPS, NFC, Micro USB 2.0 port and 3.5mm audio jack.
