BlackBerry has today announced its Android based smartphone, named BlackBerry Motion, which is made by TCL and revealed at GITEX Technology Week in Dubai. It will only be available in Black color for Dh 1,699 (around 30,000 INR). It is available for pre-order in UAE and KSA starting from today and will go on sale in other countries later this year.
BlackBerry Motion is fitted with a 5.5 inch full HD IPS display with scratch resistant Dragon-Trail Glass protection and pixel density of 403ppi. It bears a 12 MP auto focus rear camera with dual tone LED flash light, aperture of f/2.0, PDAF and can shoot videos with 4K resolution. There is an 8 MP frontal sensor with f/2.2 aperture.
BlackBerry Motion is equipped with Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 14nm processor clocked at 2.0 GHz and coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. There is 4GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt memory that is expandable by up to additional 2TB via microSD card slot.
BlackBerry Motion is dust and water resistant with IP67 certification and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. This dual SIM handset has a fingerprint scanner in its home button with BlackBerry logo and houses a 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 which is rated to deliver up to 32 hours of mixed usage. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, 3G / HSPA+, EDGE / GPRS, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS, NFC, USB Type C port and 3.5mm audio jack.
