BlackBerry Leap Smartphone launched in India for Rs. 21,490

BlackBerry has definitely not given up and the proof of that is the new BlackBerry Leap smartphone that is now launched in India at a price tag of Rs. 21,490.

BlackBerry Leap

BlackBerry Leap is a 5 inches 720p screen smartphone which is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Talking about the insides, the phone is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor from Qualcomm. It also has anAdreno 225 GPU and the phone is supported by 2GB of RAM.

Coming to the storage side, BlackBerry Leap comes with 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. To be honest, the specs seem a bit outdated in these days of over powered smartphones that are flooding the lower price segment as compared to the BlackBerry Leap.

BlackBerry claims that this phone will be providing at least 25 hours of heavy usage with the help of the 2800 mAh battery. As per BlackBerry this is achieved by utilizing the optimizations done in BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.3.1 which also offers a new look and icon set along with a whole new and better functioning instant action bar so users can access most used functions on their screen itself.

BlackBerry Leap has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front facing shooter. Again, at a price tag of Rs. 21.490, we can’t say how good it is going to see as we are currently seeing a tsunami of new smartphones being launched in India.
