Asus today launched its giant 10.1-inch display ZenPad tablet at Computex 2017. Powered by modest hardware, these tablets flaunt a premium design and are centered around passing on an immersive multimedia experience.
The Asus ZenPad 10 comes in two confusingly named variants – Z301ML and Z301MFL. Both variants are almost similar with a few minor differences.
The high-end of the two (Z301MFL) has full HD display resolution and is powered by 1.45GHz MediaTek quad-core processor backed by 3GB RAM. The other one has HD resolution (which should be glaringly scanty considering the display size) and is powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core chip paired with 2GB RAM.
You can buy these tablets in 16GB/32GB/64GB storage variants and also add MicroSD storage. For photography, the ZenPad 10 includes a 5MP front camera and 2MP selfie camera.
To enhance multimedia experience, Asus has dual front-facing stereo speakers and also adds DTS Headphone X support. To improve display colors and contrast, Asus relies on its Tru2Life technology that analyzes each pixel in an image before it is displayed and performs intelligent contrast and sharpness adjustments to boost dynamic range.
The software is Android Nougat. Other features include 4650mAh battery, WiFi, Micro SIM, Bluetooth 4.1, audio jack and USB Type-C port.
