Asus Zenfone Max with 5000 mAh Battery Announced

Asus has introduced a big battery Zenfone smartphone at Zenfestival in New Delhi. The Zenfone Max highlights the presence of a juicy 5000 mAh non removable battery which can also be used as a power bank to charge other phones. It will be available in October, 2015 in India but the company has not revealed the price as of now.


Zenfone Max integrates a 5.5 inch HD (720 X1280 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top. It is backed by 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor along with Adreno 306 GPU and 2 GB of RAM.

It comes in two storage variants- 8 GB or 16 GB which can be further expanded by up to another 128 GB via microSD card. Zenfone Max is running Zen UI 2.0 which is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

This dual SIM smartphone boasts a 13 MP Laser auto focus rear camera with Real Tone flash. There is also a 5 MP front facing camera onboard with 85 degree wide angle lens. Zenfone Max also includes  4G LTE connectivity for fast internet access. Other connectivity features include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, micro USB port, dual SIM connectivity.

Price and availability details for Zenfone Max will be available in October 2015. It will primarily compete with Gionee Marathon M5 and Marathon M4 in India.
