At Computex 2017, Asus introduced ZenBook Flip S (UX370), which is the world’s thinnest and lightest convertible laptop measuring just 10.9mm thick and tipping the scale at 1.1Kg. The new Zenfone Flip Notebook has a 13.3-inch multitouch flappable display (up to 4K UHD) with support for an active stylus. It also has extremely narrow 6.11mm bezels around the display, something Asus is calling ‘NanoEdge’
To make the slim design feasible, Asus has to develop a new 0,3mm thin “liquid-crystal-polymer fan” to keep the ZenBook Flip S cool. The unique 360° ErgoLift hinge has a dual-action mechanism that lifts and tilts the keyboard into comfortable typing position when the display is folded beyond 135°.
The software on the Flip S is Windows 10 OS. It’s powered by latest generation Intel Core i7 processors clocked up to 3.5GHz with up to 16GB RAM and packs up to 1TB SSD. Other star features include Harmon Kardon certified audio with Smart AMP, a fingerprint sensor that facilitates one-touch login via Windows Hello and a single USB Type-C port.
Asus promises 11 hours of battery life with regular usage. The battery also supports fast charging and, according to company claims, you can charge it to 60 percent in just 49 minutes.
The Price for ZenBook Flip S (UX370) starts at $1099 (or roughly 71,000 INR) and it will be available for purchase from September 2017 onwards.
Besides Flip S, Asus also introduced Zenbook Pro with Nvidia GTX 1050i graphics, Zenbook 3 Deluxe which is the world’s thinnest 14-inch laptop and has two Thunderbolt 3 ports, VivoBook S which is a mainstream laptop with a 15-inch display, and VivoBook Pro which is midrange laptop with a 4K display.
