Asus has today launched a smaller variant of Zenfone Go in India, The Zenfone Go ZC451TG. Yes, it’s a bit confusing keeping a track of Asus Zenfone portfolio, but that is the way Asus wants it to be. Priced at 5,299 INR, the new Zenfone Go variant is the cheapest Zenfone coming from Asus camp this year.
Zenfone Go ZC451TG includes a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) display and is powered by 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6580 processor with Mali 400MP2 GPU, 1GB LPDDR3 RAM and 8GB internal storage. That sounds a bit pedestrian in 2015, but you can find some solace in 64GB MicroSD support.
Software is Android 5.1 Lollipop based Zen UI 2.0. For photography, there is 5MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture lens and a VGA front camera. Other features include dual SIM connectivity, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and a modest 1600 mAh battery.
Announcing the availability for ZenFone Go, Mr. Peter Chang, Regional Head – South Asia & Country Manager – System Business Group – ASUS India, said, “ZenFone Go wraps up an extremely successful year for us in India. We are elated to see the response that we received through the year for our ZenFone range of smartphones and are sure that our offering for the budget segment packed with features at an affordable price, will be appreciated by our users as well.”
