Redmi Note 4G is now available for purchase through Airtel stores across 6 cities – Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Kolkata, starting today. This is first time Xiaomi is retailing via offline stores, but you will still need to book your device online.
For one day each week, Airtel will organize Mi-day where users can just walk in and buy a Redmi Note 4g, even without a pre booking. Airtel customers can now visit www.Airtel.in/mi , book device online and select their preferred location and date for pickup.
You will need a postpaid Airtel SIM card with at least 500 MB 3G data pack activated. Prepaid customers will have to upgrade to postpaid connection to avail this offer. At Airtel store, you will be provided with a 4G SIM and existing Airtel 3G users will be able to access 4G speeds at the same tariff as their existing 3G plan, without activating any special 4G plan.
In cities where 4G LTE is still not available, customers will be automatically updated to 4G Plans once the services are available. Airtel users in Bengaluru can get double data benefits on their 4G plans by logging onto www.Airtellive.com/offers from their new Redmi Note 4G.
To remind you, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G comes fitted with a large sized 5.5 Inch HD display and is powered by 1.6 GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 chipset with 2 GB RAM and 8 GB expandable internal storage.
There is a 13 MP rear camera which can record good quality Full HD videos, coupled with a decent 5 MP front camera. Other features include 4g LTE, GPS, GLONASS and 3100 mAh battery.
On the first sales day, Xiaomi managed to sell all 40,000 Redmi Note units in just 6 seconds. This means it will be tough to buy one and Airtel users who wish to use 4G LTE have an advantage.
