Huawei has introduced a new affordable smartphone, Honor V9 Play, back in home country China. The Honor V9 Play is a compact phone with a metal unibody design that will start shipping from September 12 onwards.
Talking of specifications, the Honor V9 Play comes with a 5.2-inch HD display with 2.5D curved glass on top. It’s powered by rather entry grade MT6750 octa-core processor with Mali T860 GPU, with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The phone also accepts up to 128GB of SD card storage but the SIM slot is hybrid.
On the software front, Honor V9 Play is running Android 7.0 Nougat based EMUI 5.0. The phone has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture lens, and PDAF. On the front, you will find an 8MP shooter with standard f/2.2 aperture optics.
Also, the Honor V9 Play is just 7.3mm thick and weighs a modest 145 grams. With the slim and light casing, Huawei has managed to fit in a 3000mAh battery. The company also claims that the fingerprint sensor mounted on the rear can unlock the phone in just 0.4 seconds.
Other Honor V9 Play features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS, and GLONASS.
In China, Honor V9 Play will cost 999 Yuan or approximately Rs. 7,980 for the 3GB RAM variant and 1199 Yuan or roughly Rs. 11,800 for the 4GB RAM variant. The phone is available for pre-order now and will start shipping from September 12 onwards.
