Acer Liquid E700 Quick Review

We are here to discuss about Acer Liquid E700 which was introduced earlier this month in India and is exclusively available on for Rs. 11,999. The handset belongs to the first set of Acer smartphones in India and flaunts impressive hardware. Let’s have a look at our first impression of Acer Liquid E700.

Acer Liquid E700 is made of polycarbonate and has a decent design. This is a well built device which looks solid and sturdy and comes with matte finish back which is quite comfortable to hold and gives the device a nice grip, which in turn makes it easy to handle with one hand.

It sports a front speaker near the bottom edge and you can unlock your device by tapping an Acer rapid key present on the rear side below the camera. On the long press of this button, you can open the camera easily which is very useful while you are taking selfies.

This device features the power button on top instead of right or left side and also a 3.5 mm jack on top. It includes a Micro USB port and volume rocker on the right side.

Liquid E700 flaunts a 5 inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with good viewing angels. It’s a slightly reflective display but can deliver you beautiful colors, whereas brightness level on the screen is average.

Hardware and Performance

Acer E700 is powered by 1.2 GHz Quad core MediaTek MT6582 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.  Users can expand the internal memory by another 32 GB using the Micro SD card. Interface of Acer E700 is quite smooth, there is no visible lag in the apps and the chipset can handle multi tasking smoothly. It is a pretty powerful smartphone for day to day usage, but playing graphic intensive games is not quite smooth. It can respond well on mid range and low end games.

It comes with an 8 MP rear camera which is an average performer- not too good, not too bad. It can capture good images with clarity in good lights while it’s not good for low light conditions. It also has a 2 MP front camera with LED flash which is great to capture selfie pictures in low light conditions. Most smartphones do not offer front camera with flash in this price range.

This device is runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with company’s own Float UI on top and company hasn’t given any statement about whether they will update this device with latest Android 5.0 Lollipop. Acer has included some pre-loaded apps like Acer Cloud, Polaris office 5 and Acer Snapnote.

Battery and Connectivity

It houses a juicy 3500 mAh non removable battery which is pretty large. Even if you are a heavy user, this battery is enough for one day usage. Most of the smartphones come with around 2000 mAh battery in this price segment, so a bigger battery is definitely an advantage. Connectivity options include EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB port, GPS and support three SIM.

Acer Liquid E700 is exclusively available on for Rs. 11,999 in India in Black and Red color options.

Acer E700 is an elegant smartphone which offers good performance, massive 3500 mAh battery and a good and responsive touch screen. Unfortunately, it isn’t too great on the photography part, but yes Acer Rapid Key on back, front facing camera with LED flash and support for three SIM cards are unique and great features of this device.
