Samsung today launched its 4G enabled tablet- Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 in India, priced at 39,400 INR. The tablet will be available across all major retail stores from today onwards. The South Korean manufacturer claims that it is the thinnest tablet in the world, which will be available in three color options including- Black, White and Gold.
Galaxy Tab S2 incorporates a 9.7 inch Super AMOLED display with the resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. It has an octa core Exynos 5433 processor where four cores are clocked at 1.9 GHz and other four cores are clocked at 1.3 GHz.
The tablet is packed with 8 MP rear camera and there is a 2.1 MP front facing camera onboard. It is backed by 5870 mAh battery which can last for up to 12 hours of talk time. Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 is running Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out of the box.
Galaxy Tab S2 comes with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. Apart from 4G LTE, connectivity features include EDGE / GPRS, 3G, Wi-Fi, MIMO, GPS, Glonass, Micro USB port.

Given our commitment to the Indian market, the Galaxy Tab S2 is another contribution of Samsung to the Make in India campaign. This product will be made in India and made for India.”
Samsung has partnered with Airtel to offer 2GB free 4G Data per month for first two months to all buyers. Samsung also claims that total value of free goodies is 31000 INR.
